We realize that you may feel overwhelmed about your child's visit. Be reassured that our doctors, nurses, therapists and multiple healthcare professionals at Obijackson Children’s Hospital will do everything they can to care for your child, you and your family.

Preparing for Admission

Be prepared before you get to the hospital and as you leave. Let us help make your experience the best as possible. Admission to the hospital usually will be scheduled

by your child's doctor. Our inpatient admissions policy requires a child to be registered with an admissions representative. If your child has a hospital visit, please check in at the reception desk on the appropriate location. 

 

Where to Eat

We have a brilliant restaurant at the hospital with professionally prepared meals  by qualified Chefs and dietitians . It is located just by the gate of the hospital. Ask a security personnel at the hospital entrance or contact us +234 -9093568855

In keeping with its family-centered care concept, Obijackson women & Children’s has consolidated useful resources at the waiting area located at Obijackson children’s hospital Triage

 

Going Home

The process of getting your child ready to go home from Obijackson women &Children's Hospital actually starts as soon as he or she arrives at the hospital as we provide prompt and active care response. A discharge order will be written by the doctor when your child is ready to leave the hospital.

 

Visiting hours

General: 11:30am- 6:30 p.m.

Intensive Care: 24 hours a day

Family members may visit at all times, except during nursing shift changes.

Please allow 45 minutes for shift changes.

 

Nursing shift changes:

7:30am - 8:15 a.m.

3:30pm - 4:15 p.m.

7:30 pm- 8:15 p.m.

11:30 p.m. - 12:15 a.m.

Patient’s RIghts 

  1. Receive comprehensive medical care aimed at a proper diagnosis and treatment 
  2. Get counseled on the management of any ailment
  3. Give consent for treatment and procedures
  4. Refuse treatment and be duly informed on consequences of such  which is well documented
  5. Know the names of managing health personnels and their professional status
  6. Express concerns and suggestions and receive feedback
  7. Participate in care  decision making.

Patient’s Responsibilities

  1. Follow the rule and regulations of OWCH
  2. Provide complete and accurate information for treatment purposes
  3. Respect priority given to emergency cases
  4. Avoid interference with treatment of other clients
  5. Follow the Doctor’s instruction
  6. Take responsibility for refusing treatment plan after due counselling
  7. To keep to appointments and on time except in emergencies
  8. Restrict from taking photographs or videos inside procedure/treatment rooms.
