• Also, to provide Nutrition Education Services at the Hospital and Community levels as well as advancing Nutrition through innovative practices

• Individualized nutrition counselling for weight reduction. 
• Group education for weight reduction/lifestyle improvement. 
• Recipe modification and development. 
• Public Speaking and consumer nutrition education. 
• Health and wellness program development. 
• Menu and meal planning. 
• Optimal dietary guideline instruction and consumer education. 
• Body composition analysis. 
• Behaviour modification techniques. 
• Food allergies and intolerances. 
• Eating disorders and disordered eating patterns. 
• Providing consultancy services to members of the public and media houses.  
• Work with the catering and nursing services to ensure that all patients are offered appropriate foods to meet their nutritional requirements, whilst considering their medical condition, dietary and/or cultural restrictions. 

PERSONNEL 

The department has a Dietitian Ngwuegbu Chinenye and cooks Ngozi Inegbu and Azubuike Gift from catering unit that prepare therapeutic diet on directives of the dietitian.
